The national competition is about for Dec. 19th at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, organizers have just declared Yesterday. NBC can air a live broadcast of the pageant from the casino and resort, beginning at seven p.m. CT.
The contest follows 51 convincing candidates while competing for life-changing scholarships to be used to continue their efforts towards community service and education. The exhibition will continue to highlight a diverse range of young students and professionals who advance the message of women’s power, independence, and empowerment through their efforts in scholarship, talent, and social impact.
Over the last 2 years, the Miss America Organization and its state competitions have awarded nearly $6 million in scholarships.
At the tip of the telecast, one candidate is going to be chosen for the work of Miss America 2020 to create upon the work of Miss America 2019, Nia Franklin. Over the past year, Franklin has been promoting her social impact initiative “Advocating for the Arts” through appearances at faculties and universities and has taken half in several different events, as well as creating varied visits to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
